This conference’s theme and rationale is to
analyse, discuss, and plan the future of logotherapy and existential
analysis on organisational, didactic, clinical, and academic levels.
On all four accounts, the need for reorganisation, consolidation,
and quality control both in training and applied therapy, as well as
for international academic cooperation has been repeatedly voiced in
the past years in our field.
The conference will provide an open forum both to
logotherapists in private practice as well as to representatives of
logotherapy training and research institutions from all over
the world to voice their concerns, needs, and ideas on how to
promote logotherapy and existential analysis in the 21st
century.
One aim of the conference also lies in building smaller
network groups and „task forces“ who will work on specific topics
within the field, such as the establishment of mandatory logotherapy
training standards, the organisation of regional initiatives working
towards the recognition of logotherapy by national health services,
and, more generally, the renewal of academic and scientific research
and dialogue in logotherapy and the interaction its neighbouring
disciplines and schools of psychotherapy.
We cordially invite you to become an active part of
logotherapy's future by attending this conference.
